Our mission

BMAC is a NGO that works to conserve the Endangered Barbary macaque and its habitat and to promote knowledge of the species. We work in a holistic, practical and inclusive way to ensure our strategies truly work.

Barbary Macaque Awareness & Conservation (BMAC) is a UK-based organisation (Registered charity number 1188719).

Barbary Macaque Conservation in the Rif (BMCRif) is a Moroccan-based registered NGO.

Working together in partnership, the two organisations share common goals that are fundamental in assisting to achieve their charitable objectives. Find out more about the work we do here .

However, both organisations are entirely independent of each other and as such have separate financial records, assets, policies and projects, and follow different local legislation.
